EC of the nutrient solution is related to the amount of ions available to plants in the root zone. EC meters measure the electrical conductivity of a nutrient solution. It is an index of salt concentration and an indicator of electrolyte concentration of the solution. They are incredibly important because they inform growers of how many nutrients, or salts, are present in the solution. Growers will be able to adjust their feedings to enhance growth and flowering.

pH Meters

The pH meter is a handy instrument used to measure the acidity or alkalinity of a solution - also known as pH. pH is the unit of measure that describes the degree of acidity or alkalinity.
