The clamping ring SR in the above example connects a pipe flange LF with a pipe flange AF.

When tightening, two forces come into play:

A) The straight part between the legs aligns the flanges radially.
B) The two inclined legs pull the flanges together axially.

Good reasons to order clamping rings with an integrated seal:

The seal is glued in under ideal conditions in our production facility (no dirt, moisture, etc. as on the construction site).

Time savings during assembly on the construction site.

Fittings such as bends are easier to adjust (no friction) without damaging the seal.

Easy dismantling of air duct segments.

Special equipment quick-release fastener for small clamping rings SR 20-45 (tube Ø 200 to 450 mm).

Only conditionally suitable for larger clamping rings (pipe Ø 500 to 900 mm). The quick-release fastener cannot compress the seal sufficiently to achieve tightness class C according to DIN EN 12237.
